FAQs
Many people believe that they need to be suffering from “mental illness” or serious psychological problems in order for seeking support. This is not the case. Those with less severe issues often greatly benefit from seeking support because their existing psychological strengths allow them to make more rapid and substantial changes.

The first session is a comprehensive evaluation. It is, in some ways, like an initial appointment with a new primary care doctor. We will get to know each other and discuss the issues that are troubling you. We will review your medical history, psychiatric history, social history, current concerns, and more in detail. A psychiatric evaluation is essential to help identify the disorder and help you get the best treatment for your situation. An initial evaluation will take approximately 60 to 75 minutes. We will continue to talk about these things during our second meeting.

Cancellation Policy & Fees
Cancellation Policy & Fees
You can cancel or reschedule an appointment any time, as long as you provide at least 48 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $75.
Why is your cancellation policy like this?
Your clinician sets aside a whole hour for you. If a cancellation pops up within 24 hours, it’s tough to fill that spot from our wait-list, and your clinician loses out on a valuable hour. Because insurance will not cover missed appointments, when you cancel within 24 hours, your clinician isn’t paid. Our policy is not a form of punishment, but a necessary boundary to ensure we can consistently deliver excellent care.
